I'm also a frequent traveller who is often away for months at the time in places like Russia or Namibia. I am looking for a room, a collective, small apartment, or a workshop space that isn't too heavy on 'no sleeping in' regulations for a period of one year and up. Here's a bit about me and what I'm looking for.

What I'm Looking For:

I am looking for a sublet starting on or after August 21 until at least Christmas, possibly longer. I'm hoping to find something that's somewhere between housemates and a co-op where people share the occasional meal and conversation but not so co-opy that I feel guilty for not being a raw foodist yoga instructor activist artist. I will admit that I like to start and end my days with a bit of yoga or meditation rather than the onslaught of digital media.

About Me:

I do my dishes as soon as they're dirty and even know how to use a broom. I usually can't figure out how to use a TV remote and can keep up my side of a conversation. I have somehow managed to make it this far without a car so I don't need a garage but I could use easy bike access.

I have a master's in urban planning from MIT and a BA in anthropology from Reed, which means I know hardly anything about virtually everything. I've spent my career mixing anthropology, planning, design and business strategy to improve the built environment, technology, and transportation. Recently I worked with HP on the future of computing so I know a bit too much but never enough about where all this digital stuff is heading. I'm moving to Copenhagen to facilitate an innovation process between academia, industry and municipal partners to develop creative solutions for social services for seniors in Denmark. In my spare time, I'll be planning a little project using the London 2012 Olympics to save the world.

I love to cook- mostly Asian food. I'm mostly vegetarian but also occasionally consider fish to be vegetables. I enjoy the occasional social experiment such as dressing up as Max from "Where the Wild Things Are" and acting out the book in a park. I've spent about three years abroad, mostly in Europe and Asia, and so can pretend to speak a smattering of languages. I'm reasonably fluent in Swedish and will be working hard on converting that to Danish. Much as concrete and pixels inspire me, I love to get outdoors and feel the sun on my face now and again.
