Last year Bornholm, a beautiful Danish island in the baltic, was voted the 13th best Island destination in the entire world by the seasoned world travellers from National Geographic. Bornholm is a wonderful combination of delightful varied landscape and colorful local architechture and quaint little towns and fishing villages. Of the many pictureques towns, Svaneke stand out as being especially well preserved and harmonious market town.

The small town is located on the northeastern corner of bornholm with a outstanding 270 degree view of the spectacular baltic. The town grew from several small natural harbours, and the many colurful traditional half-timbered houses cluster the rocks that gently sloops towards the town church. The towns dedication to preserving its history has earned Svaneke a European Gold medal for Preservation. Besides the many old houses the town can boost two traditional windmills, a canon armed bastion a old operating lighthouse and nice little sand beach hidden in the dramatic granite coast. The town offers shopping as food as well as arts and crafts several restaurants and traditional gourme production of sweets and ale.

The rest of Bornholm many attraction are all with in easy reach by car or bike.

In this peaceful old world setting I offer a small traditional half-timbered rustic rental cottage. The cottages is perfect for a couple but sleeps four via 2 single moveable beds on the first floor and a dubbel sleeping couch in the living room. The house offers TV set for dvdplayer, broadband internet and a cozy fireplace. In connection to the cottage you will find a charming little stone fenced garden in several levels and with old trees like chessnut and exotic fig.

The cottage is available year round on a weekly basis. During the high season july + august the weekly rate is 5900 dkr + a energy fee of 150 dkr pr pers pr week. Mail for off season rates.

The small town is not far away from Copenhagen, and there is a public transport available. From Ishøj station to Nørreport station in the center of Copenhagen takes only about 25 min of transport. There is also close to fast bus 400S, and 300S, which are going to Lyngby also.


There is deposit of 5000 dkr, which has to be payed to me on the day of moving in, and will be returned on the day of moving out.

The flat is available from september month 2008.
