UNHCR Internship, student looking for 3months accomodation

Hiya,

I'm Toma, presently doing a Master in International Affairs in Paris. On November 26 I will be starting an internship with the UNHCR (refugees) in KL for 3 months. I'm looking for a nice place to stay preferably with not more than 1000MYR. Other than english, I speak Italian, French and Romanian. If your interested in conversation practice in exchange for Spanish, jackpot! Otherwise, I'm a calm guy, I lived for a couple of months in a shared house with 4 girls, so I know what respecting one's privacy is and I smoke. If you don't, I could smoke on the window or in the toilet, like in the old days. In my view it shouldn't be a problem. I have no particular expectancies from whom I'd live with, just the normal amount of respect to make things work. As in, if you're loud be loud, quiet be quiet but say it from the begining so one knows what to expect. Finally, I'm pretty extroverted, talkative, always with a smile on my face and I'm told, a nice company.

Alternatively, a studio would work for me as well.

It would be great if you could approximate how much time it would take from the app to the UNHCR (Jalan Bellamy street). Thanks.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Toma.

am an university researcher from Spain doing a research project in Thailand/Malaysia. I am now in Bangkok and I will go to KL around the weekend of Nov 2-3 and until December 10-11 (approx). Let's say 1.5 month (one and a half months). Looking for something that is

1) studio or 1 bedroom. Well maintained (no need for a lot of luxuries),
2) more or less centrally located (but not in a too busy/noisy area) and near public transport (monorail, kommuter, etc0
3) price: If possible 1400-1700. Could consider a bit more if utilities are included or is a really nice place.
4) internet: that would be very important as I will spend many hours every day doing research, sending mails, etc
5) laundry: washing machine in the unit or laundry room in the building, iron, etc.
6) area: I don't know much about KL but from maps I would say that Brickfields or similar would be good as I would need to be conducting interviews with government agencies and business in KL and Selangor, Sah Alam, etc so it woudl be in between

Please, let me know if you have something with these characteristics. Also, please, let me know name of the street to look in Google Maps

I am a neat person and I can provide with references from here in Bangkok, from Spain (my home country) or the US (where I live some time).

Thanks

Antonio
