i started playing drums since early childhood as my 5 years older brother started getting home lessons when he was six.
i started myself with lessons when i was 9, going over all the basics
of most conventional drumming.
in germany i was playing in the school jazz band, a ska-punk band,
(with percussion in an ensemble with which i got a second prize in all German competition Jugend-Musiziert, next year same competition category solo percussion 3rd prize),
in singapore i was playing in a the school jazz band as well as jazz
quintett which had a great reputation, so we even played in front the president there once, playing drumset in two musicals, playing in a jazz-rock band, a metal band, and a rock'n'roll band... (with
percussion i was accepted to the Singapore National Youth Orchester)
well and now I am studying at the conservatory, nothing special ;)

Ik begon al als klijn kind drums te spelen als mijn 5 jaar ouder broer drum les thuis krijgte.
Ik begon mijn eigen drum les als ik 9 was, en ik lernte over de volgenden jaaren de basis het conventionele drummen.
In Duitsland heb ik in de school jazz band, in een ska-punk band, (met een percussie ensemble, met welke ik de tweede prijs in de grootste Duitse competitie Jugend-Musiziert haalte, het volgende jaar heb in de solo categorie van de zelfde competitie de derde prijz),
In Singapur heb ik in de school jazz band en ook de jazz quintet, welke een fantastisch roep had en met welke ik er ook voor de President spelde. Veder spelde ik ook in twee musicals, in een jazz-rock band, in een metal band en een rock’n’roll band… (met percussie word ik geaccepteerd voor het Singapore National Jeugd Orkest)
En nu studeer ik aan het conservatorium Den Haag, niets bijszonder

When I was 15 I got accepted to a state funded preconservatory system with theory and ensemble lessons.
When I was 16 I entered into a guitar ensemble “La chitarra flamenca” in Kiel, where I got to know and played a lot of Spanish and Latin-American guitar repertoire.
Since than I have taught several students and I am enthusiastic to continue teaching here in Den Haag!

Ik begon met klassiek guitar als ik 11 jaar oud was.
Met 15 jaaren, wordt ik geaccepteerd in een school gelijkartig als het department Jonge Talenten van het Koninklijk Conservatorium, waar ik met teorie en ensemble les begon.
Met 16 jaaren, begon ik bij het ensemble “la chitarra flamenca” en Kiel mee te werken, waar ik van veel Spaanse en Latijnamericaanse guitar literatuur kennis maakte.
Ernaar heb ik merderen studenten geleert en ben nu entusiastisch om dit hier in Den Haag veder te doen!
