Charming 35 sq.mt studio apartment, with separate sleeping area on a mezzanine level, located on the first floor of the ancient "Hotel D'Argenson", dating back to 1640 (no elevator) and fully renovated in 1983, nestled in the heart of the Marais, close to the Louvre.

The apartment offers a warm and friendly atmosphere, ideal for feeling “right at home” in a sunny environment surrounded by classic furnishings and a cosy parquet flooring.
The entrance leads directly into the living room, with a sitting area furnished with a double sofa bed (140x180) and complete with large windows which brighten the room and look out onto the inner courtyard, a dining area with a table for 4 and a fully equipped kitchen corner, complete with all necessities including a microwave oven.
The sleeping area is on the open mezzanine level overlooking the living room and complete with a double bed and a closet. The bathroom is fitted with a bathtub with overhead shower.
The apartment itself is located in a very calm and quiet street, ideal for a relaxing stay in the very center of Paris. PETS NOT ALLOWED.

The apartment is located in the 4th arrondissement, not far from the Picasso Museum, the Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, the Isle Saint Louis, the Centre Pompidou and Place des Vosges, built by Henry IV at the beginning of the 1600s and constructed in a particular brick and stone manner found only in Paris.
The Marais is a typically bourgeois neighbourhood which covers areas of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements, on the Rive Droite of Paris (right bank of the Seine).
Most of the buildings in this district are very old. It partly explains the very small streets. This area is full of tales from the past. It is very rich thanks to its historical background and its location. It has been a key part of Paris since almost the very foundation of the city itself. During the 12th Century the Templars eliminated the marshlands north of Philippe Auguste’s borders, and starting from the 16th Century the aristocrats started building vast residences in the area, a tendency which was infinitely increased after the creation of Place Royale, later transformed into Place des Vosges by Henri IV in 1605. The eventual decision to move the royal court to Versailles caused a drastic decline to the area, and Haussman’s later movement to re-establish the city saw an active renovation exclusively in the Marais. In 1969 André Malraux declared the Marais to be the first protected area, with all its museums, art galleries and historical sites.
