Utilizing solar energy to drive the induction motor & control the speed by varying the duty cycle as well as frequency. Project was designed to control the speed of induction motor. For this solar energy is used to drive the motor through 12 v battery. Here solar energy is used to charge the battery, and again the required 230 v AC to drive the motor is generated from 12 VDC source using PWM (PULSE WIDTH MODULATION) inverter. Varying the duty cycle can vary the speed for the motor very linearly from minimum to maximum. In this project work, digital frequency meter is designed with PLC IC, which measures and displays the system output frequency continuously.
