Description: The house is 220m2 over four floors. On the ground floor there is a modern open plan kitchen /diner and living room, a study and a guest WC. The kitchen is fitted with high quality furniture and appliances. On the second floor there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room as well as two walk in closets and a further four large wardrobes. The third floor is a huge open loft room, an ideal bedroom for older children or as a recreational room and guest room. Finally, in the basement there is a laundry room, a storage room and another large room (we use it as a gym) with a shower room and sauna en-suite. Patio doors lead from the ground floor outside to a good sized garden which is mostly laid to lawn and has a patio. From here there is access to a double garage. The garage has a pitched roof under which is a large space for additional storage. The main door is opened and closed automatically by remote control. Four other families live in the road and all have been extremely friendly and welcoming.
The town of Meinier is situated on the beautiful rive gauche and is a mere 15 minutes drive from Geneva city centre. There is a regular bus service into Geneva which takes about 20 minutes. Meinier has its own school and local children receive priority entry. There are quite a number of Anglophone children at the school so the teaching staff are used to dealing with non French speaking pupils. Our 3 year old attends the Garderie which adjoins the school and has quickly managed to settle in. In town there is a bakery and tea room and a bar/restaurant.
