Job Summary
The Architectural Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the procurement of all architectural and finishing materials, ensuring compliance with design intent, quality standards, project timelines, and budget. The role focuses on high-end finishes, fa?ade systems, and FF&E packages critical to hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning
Develop procurement schedules aligned with construction and finishing phases
Identify long-lead architectural items (fa?ade systems, marble, joinery, lighting fixtures, FF&E items)
Coordinate with planning and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery
Technical Review & Coordination
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and material schedules
Ensure procurement aligns with design intent and brand standards
Coordinate with design consultants and interior designers
Verify samples, mock-ups, and material approvals
Tendering & Evaluation
Prepare RFQs and tender packages for finishing works and materials
Conduct technical and commercial evaluations (TBE / CBE)
Analyze supplier capabilities for high-end finishing and custom materials
Supplier & Vendor Management
Source and prequalify suppliers for:
Finishing materials
Fa?ade systems
FF&E
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms
Maintain approved supplier database
Cost Control
Monitor procurement budgets for finishing packages
Optimize costs without compromising quality
Conduct value engineering aligned with design requirements
Procurement Process Management
Issue purchase orders and track procurement status
Manage submittals, samples, and approvals
Coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams
Coordinate with:
Architectural design team
Interior designers
Site engineers
Procurement and logistics teams
Resolve design and material-related conflicts
Risk & Issue Management
Handle delays in finishing materials
Manage supplier performance and quality issues
Ensure timely delivery for critical finishing stages
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
Experience:
7–12+ years in architectural procurement
Strong experience in:
High-end finishing
Fa?ade systems
FF&E procurement (hotels / luxury projects)
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of finishing materials and specifications
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and details
Familiar with international standards and brand requirements
Experience in ERP systems
Competencies:
Strong negotiation- supplier management
High attention to detail and quality

Preferred:
Experience in luxury hotel projects
Familiarity with PIF / Red Sea / Diriyah standards
