Description: An Orthoptist is required for a Hospital in UAE
Division of Ophthalmology, Department of Surgery
Qualifications required:
• BSc degree or equivalent qualification of NLT 3 years duration in Orthoptics with Registration License.
• 2 year duration leading to registration as an orthoptist with the Health Professional Council in UK/ American Orthptics.
Experience relevant to the position:
• NLT 2 years of relevant post graduate experience in a hospital setting.
Education:
• Honors degree in Orthoptics, or BSc plus two year approved orthoptics training with certification, or equivalent
• 2 years minimum work related experience
Certification and other requirements:
Orthoptists are required to be members of the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the British or Irish Orthoptic Society (BIOS); certified by the American Orthoptic Council (AOC); or equivalent.
Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS).
Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as a neat and professional appearance are mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
Good hearing and visual acuity are required, as is the ability to assist in lifting patients from wheel chairs to examination chairs; may be required to stand for long periods of time; must be able to move about the
medical complex freely.
Salary & Benefits:
Tax Free Salary - Between the range of 6,960AED to 15,312AED/Month subject to post registration/certificate/membership
Housing Allowance:
• Single 100,000 AED Or 40% of Basic Salary cash in-lieu does not exceed 2,000 AED per month.
• Married: 120,000 AEDOr 60% of Basic Salary cash in-lieu does not exceed 3.000 AED per month.
Furniture Allowance:
• Single 15000 AEDOnce during the service (provided availing the annual Housing Allowance)*
• Married20000 AED
Water & Electricity:
• 400 AED Monthly (provided availing the annual Housing Allowance)
Transportation:
• 500 AED Monthly (provided not availing Hospital provided transportation)
Educational Allowance:
• 15000 AED Annually for unlimited number of children, under 18 years of age.
Annual leave
• 30 Working Days
Annually ticket:
• Staff, wife and 3 children under 18 years old (For Male) Staff Only (For Female).
Medical
• Under Daman Medical Insurance Coverage (As per Policy
