Job Responsibilities:
• Configure and Maintain CISCO Routers and Switches Implementing Standard and Extended Access list on the RoutersImplemented Static, Dynamic and Default routing.
• Configuring Cisco 2500 series Routers IOS, WAN Protocols Like RIP,IGRP and EGIRP for Dynamic routing , Configuring VTY lines and Access list Designing networks assigning IP addresses & password at various interfaces, Backup & recovery for router IOS and troubleshooting of Cisco 2500 & 2600 series routers.
• Creating vlan and assigning the interfaces to the vlan.
• Making access ports and trunking ports using isl and dot1q trucking protocols.
• Configuring STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) modes on switches to prevent loop formation in the network.
• Configuring VTP (Virtual Trunking Protocol) modes on switches to manage vlans centrally.
• Creating username and password for telnetting.
• Doing redistribution between the different routing protocols like RIP version 2 and EIGRP. Redistribute RIP version 2 and OSPF.
• Configuring Lines, Exit interfaces, designing the network, sub netting, Assigning IP address, security etc.
• Enabling Nat, pat on the router and implementing the Access list to the clients
