Description: Located in the very heart of Athens, in the old artisans area, where you will find people as diverse as leather craftsmen to ecclesiastical candle makers. It is also the area of the emerging artists. There are many contemporary art galleries, live theatres and open air cinemas. We are within a newly renovated Bauhaus building built in 1938. We renovated the building in 2008 with the idea that we wanted to retain the elegance and beauty of the era while updating the kitchens and bathrooms. The result has been very pleasing with many Greek and Italian magazines and newspapers featuring our building. As one magazine put it, "the coolest place to stay in Athens". We have also renovated our roof top which provides facilities for dining, sun baking and just sitting and taking in the view of the Acropolis. Our apartments are furnished by MAP, an internationally recognised design team whose work is retained by MOMA in their permanent collection.
This bedroom has a king size bed and can be changed to be 2 king single beds.
The bed is dressed with fine linens and quality duvets.
The bedroom has a small balcony accessed through French doors.
The en suite marble bathroom includes a huge walk-in shower, toilet and stone vanity.
Both rooms are centrally heated and the bedroom has separate air cooling.
The ceilings are 3 metres high, the floors are covered in 75 years old parquetry. The windows are large and are covered with shutters that completely block the light when required.
Outside the bedroom is a large living space with MAP sofas, flat screen TV/DVD, dining table and open plan kitchen. There is a dedicated work desk and free wireless broadband.
The kitchen has Carara marble bench tops, all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, fridge and electric oven.
An extra person can sleep on a large ottoman (specially designed to double as a bed) in the living room.
