Date: Friday, November 06, 2009 Category: Region: (Tablas Island, Rombl) Description: The land area of the property is 470 hectares, located in Looc, and a part of barangay in Santa Fe, Romblon. Tablas is the biggest of the 7 islands comprising Romblon province. Looc town has a distance of around 18 kms. from Tugdan Airport where SEAAIR provides 3 flights a week. Looc has a beautiful bay almost like a letter “U” lying on it’s side in shape. The other side of the letter “U” comprises the property for sale. Looc has it’s own wharf which can accommodate inter-island vessels. Looc Bay also serves as a sanctuary to international and local cruise ships, mega yatchs and other ocean vessels whenever a storm occurs. Looc is also accessible from Odiongan, the biggest town of Tablas island 23 kms. away which also has a wharf that serves passenger vessels to and from Manila and Batangas via Super Ferry. Because of it’s accessibility to Odiongan and the airport, tourist bound for Boracay island make Looc a jump off point. Looc to Boracay island located south of Tablas, can be negotiated by taking a pump boat in 1 ½ hours and from the property for a much lesser time. The beach on the property is a popular destination for weekend beach combers from Looc and neighboring barrios because of it’s ambiance and friendly residents. At night, the sea, from a little distance from the shore, looks like a city of lights – the lights emanating from numerous fishing pump boats. At daytime, the sea is viewed as a bluish crystal clear stretch of water, along the white sandy beach having a very beautiful natural coral reef inhabited by numberous marine species ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling. Underwater visibility is excellent during a sunny day and the view underwater is worth documenting. The property area has plateaus, plains, and hills to the north which makes it ideal for condominiums and retirement villas and hotels. The western area of the property is provided with about 2.5 kilometers of beach, interrupted only by not so tall cliffs along turns and corners along the northern portion so that the short stretches of beaches in this area can be described as exotic and protected by patches of mangroves as well. Behind the stretches of beaches are coconut trees, which is one of the sources of income for the family corporation. The property on its southern portion has a thick forest that covers about 30 hectares. Game birds, monkeys, and bats abound in this forest. Hardwood trees are preserved in this forest, which also has a natural spring that can be tapped as a source of water supply. A portion of the property was also surveyed to have marble deposits. It has a cattle ranch and wild horses roam within the property INFRASTRUCTURE: The present administration has a blue print for the construction of a road network to the property via one barangay of Santa Fe, Romblon, as well as the installation of electricity. The family corporation still maintains a cattle ranch at the southern portion of the property. Just about a month ago the perimeter fence of the ranch was reinforced with new wood and cyclone wires. The property is about 20/25 minutes from the pier of Looc town by pumpboat and about 20 kms from Tugdan airport which is also in Tablas , Romblon. It will take 45 minutes from Manila Domestic airport to Tugdan Airport on a small 25 passenger plane.Larger aircrafts can make it in 15-20 minutes.
