We are looking for a 'Network Support Engineer' to manage the company WAN and LAN. The job requires a person with a solid technical background coupled with communication and documentation capabilities.
Tasks:
Implement and monitor network performance and up-time of network services
Implement and monitor network security logs
Document and maintain network designs and configurations.
Document and maintain network infrastructure procedures (Standard Operating Procedures) and policies.
Ensure routers, switches and firewalls are maintained to company¡¦s network and security policies and practices.
Install, configure, and support the servers, storage, workstations, and applications that comprise the company information systems platform as requested.
Administer user accounts, including creating new accounts, resetting passwords.
Administer the Active Directory.
Microsoft Exchange administration and troubleshooting.
Administer Proxy server
Maintain and audit application and server security. Honor confidentiality of passwords at the system and user levels.
Coordinate and implement a Disaster Recovery Plan; set Disaster Recovery Plan for the corporation, and manage and monitor data backup systems for all offices.
Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of software and operating system licensing across all servers and client hardware.
Demonstrates value-added participation and management of assigned tasks/projects.
Provide 24x7 on call support when needed.
Provide direct and indirect training, technical assistance, and guidance for IT staff.
Traveling and being away when required.
Work closely with internal and external departments and groups to analyze requirements.
Skills
Requirements:
Must have a BA/BS Computer Science or equivalent certificate.
3+ years experience in network communications with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting local and wide-area connectivity at network packet layer.
Must be experienced with Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
Must be experienced in troubleshooting IPSec VPNs.
Must be experienced with Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008 Server, Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008 Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows Server SharePoint Services and Microsoft ISA.
Must possess a complete understanding of complex network designs using high-speed technologies including MPLS, ATM and Gigabit Ethernet.
Experience in Enterprise Networking LAN/WAN field, including experience in corporate implementation and maintenance of Network Routing.
CCNA or better and MCP or better are highly preferred.
