PREVIEW: Minimum Viable Fitness

When you first decide to work out at the gym, you may think that you are working out your definition. This is exactly what you want. Unfortunately, not everyone will develop the same definition in the same manner.

So how can you expect to gain muscle building and strength when there is no standard definition for the majority of people? You have to experiment and see what works for you. And one way to get your definition working for you is to increase your heart rate.

In order to increase your heart rate, you need to make sure that you are resting between sets. While some people may find this boring, it is absolutely necessary. If you rest too long between your workouts, you may find that you overtrain, and this is never a good thing when you are trying to get lean and build muscle.

Now, you are probably wondering why I am even mentioning the whole point of rest in the first place. The reason I mentioned the rest is that when you do not get enough rest between workouts, your metabolism will slow down and you will not burn as much fat. In fact, you will find that your fat intake may increase as well, thus burning away more calories.

If you are like me, you may want to take your workout outside. With this in mind, try using a stair climber in your driveway or front yard. By doing this, you can get some cardio exercise without even being in the same room. Now, one thing to keep in mind is that when you use your stair climber, make sure that you are walking around a few times before you stop going up and down.
