Ride and Handling- Tuned by none other than Lotus, the famed Lotus ride and handling characteristics is well engineered into Proton Prevé’s dynamic driving ability. It strikes a perfect balance between comfort and sporty handling performance.
Price- Cheaper that almost all of its competitor while offering similar if not better specifications. The proton Prevé offers a bargain that is hard to refuse.
Safety feature- Achievement of ASEAN NCAP and Australian NCAP 5-Star crash rating just goes to show Proton’s commitment towards producing a world class car fit for the global market. And kudos to Proton for not skimping on any safety features even on the cheapest Executive variant.
Features- The cheaper Executive variant is bare compared to the Premium variant in terms of convenience feature. While most driver can do away with paddle shifters, but feature like the Push to Start and Automatic Climate Control which are available on the Premium variant is absent from the Executive variant.
Reliability- Much effort has gone into making the Prevé the best built Proton to break the stereotype against Proton’s shoddy build quality. While it is true on the most part, the lackluster interior fit and finish and the overall refinement still leaves much to be desired.
Performance- Compared to the turbocharged variant, the 1.6L CamPro IAFM+ naturally aspirated engine lacks in performance to say the least. Power is lost in translation through a poor performing CVT transmission, further exposing the Proton’s weakness. Acceleration is unremarkable and overtaking on the highway proves to be an arduous task.
