Tulsi Manas - Most Beautiful Temple Of Varanasi

Tulsi Manas Temple was built as a tribute to the 6th-century Indian devotional poet Goswami Tulsidas, author of the epic Ramcharitmanas. It is a beautiful temple made of white marble with verses and scenes from Ramcharitmanas carved on its walls. It is located close to Banaras Hindu University. Goswami Tulsidas popularized the epic Ramayana at this site by writing it in the Awadhi dialect of the Hindi language and making it accessible to the public. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and is close to the famous Durga temple. Beautiful idols of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshmana and Lord Hanuman are enshrined in this temple.
