We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle APEX Developer with a proven track record in successfully migrating Oracle Forms applications to Oracle Application Express (APEX). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and Oracle database technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust APEX applications, with a focus on modernizing legacy Oracle Forms systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oracle Forms to APEX Migration:
o Lead and manage the end-to-end migration process of Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX.
o Analyze existing Oracle Forms applications, identify areas for improvement, and develop migration strategies.
o Re-engineer, design, and optimize forms, reports, and business logic in APEX to enhance functionality and performance.
• APEX Application Development:
o Design and develop scalable and secure APEX applications that meet business requirements.
o Create dynamic and interactive web interfaces using Oracle APEX components.
o Develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality.
• System Integration and Database Management:
o Integrate APEX applications with other enterprise systems and databases.
o Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
o Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Quality Assurance and Documentation:
o Conduct thorough testing of APEX applications, including unit testing and integration testing.
o Perform code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
o Maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, processes, and migration strategies.
• Collaboration and Project Management:
o Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and define requirements.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and project success.
o Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with the latest Oracle APEX features, best practices, and industry trends.
o Proactively identify areas for improvement in applications and development processes.
o Contribute to the development and refinement of internal frameworks and standards.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Oracle APEX development, with a strong focus on migrating Oracle Forms to APEX.
o Proven experience in developing and deploying APEX applications in a production environment.
o Extensive experience with PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle database technologies.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Oracle APEX, including dynamic actions, interactive reports, and page design.
o Strong knowledge of Oracle Forms, including form design, triggers, and business logic.
o Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
o Familiarity with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and web services integration.
o Understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and query optimization.
