Job Description:
Inventory Accountant Duties
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions
Develop and maintain inventory control systems
Perform periodic physical inventories and cycle counts
Analyze inventory data and recommend solutions for inventory optimization
Create and maintain financial records and reports related to inventory
Audit and adjust inventory figures
Inventory Accountant Skills
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Inventory Accountant Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of experience working in an inventory accounting role
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
