Material Engineer/Geotechnical Engineer/Laboratory Supervisor

As a Geologist with a BS in Geology and 15 years of experience in Quality Control/Material Engineer/Geotechnical Engineer for infrastructure projects, I bring extensive expertise in the construction of roads, bridges, irrigation tunnels, and hydraulic structures, including aqueducts, siphons, outlets, escapes, and canal lining.
In my career, I have developed a solid foundation in material approvals, quality testing, and project supervision. Highlights of my experience include:
• Preparation and supervision of concrete mix designs, ensuring compliance with strength requirements.
• Conducting soil and aggregate tests such as CBR, SPT, MDT, sand equivalent, fineness modulus, and Los Angeles abrasion.
• Performing and supervising quality control tests for earthwork, concrete, and asphalt, including slump tests, cylinder crushing, and asphalt-specific tests like Marshall stability, compaction, and coating/stripping.
• Supervising drilling, grouting, and pile load tests, as well as prestressing girders and working piles.
• Preparing and supervising job mix formulas for asphalt base and wearing courses, ensuring adherence to design standards.
• Hands-on experience in geological mapping, tunnel support installation, borehole logging, and water pressure tests for irrigation and tunnel projects.
