I introduce myself as a Mechanical Degree Engineer (Indian) looking for job in Jeddah only with Construction or Consultancy or Trading or Manufacturing as Procurement Engineer/ Procurement Specialist/ Procurement Officer/ Projects Coordinator/ Contracts Engineer. My graduation is from University of Kerala.
My long years of experience with the general construction contractors in Jeddah is as follows:
1. Analyze Scope of Work in civil including fit-out and steel structural, mechanical, marine and electrical disciplines and Material Requests. Clarify specifications in descriptions.
2. Process material requests. Search for Vendors and generate Requests for Quotations. Discuss with Sales Engineers and Sales Executives of Vendors for quotations. Take four offers each including technical specifications, images and data sheets.
3. Negotiate cost and coordinate terms and conditions. Prepare technical and commercial comparison and Purchase Orders.
4. Follow up making payment and delivery of materials avoiding delay.
5. Coordinate the requirements of worksite team.
6. Study Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders of Clients - Marafiq, Petro Rabigh, Saudi Aramco and SABIC Group. Define requirements and develop contract. Perform the contract study during tendering, before signing and the execution.
7. Involve in ISO Certification
The materials which I have procured include epoxy coated cut & bent steel rebars, roof panels, hollow metal doors, paint coatings, pipes of CS ASTM A53, API-5L, SS A312, HDPE, RTR & uPVC, diesel generator sets, portable cabinets, ceramic flooring, earthwork materials and personal safety materials.
The contracts and projects include EPC type. The various construction projects included civil works including renovation of buildings, steel structural, piping, cabling and lighting.
