Position: Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment
Salary: AED 5000 – Package ( Negotiable )
BE or ME in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment design, selection, or maintenance
Experience in water treatment, utilities, power generation, or oil & gas
Solid knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication systems, and alignment techniques, design review, and performance evaluation of rotating machinery, such as pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, and turbines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project specifications and select suitable rotating equipment aligned with process and hydraulic requirements
• Evaluate and technically clarify vendor proposals (including datasheets, curves, and compliance checklists)
• Perform mechanical design review for pumps, compressors, and turbines in accordance with API standards
• Follow up on manufacturing, FATs, and vendor documentation
• Troubleshoot field issues related to vibration, alignment, noise, overheating, or seal failures
• Interface with instrumentation, piping, structural, and electrical teams for complete equipment integration
• Prepare and review technical documentation: equipment datasheets, specifications, inspection test plans (ITPs), and operating manuals
• Participate in commissioning and start-up activities when required
• Ensure equipment selection and design meet HSE and reliability targets
Standards & Codes:
API 610 – Centrifugal Pumps
API 618 – Reciprocating Compressors
API 619 – Rotary-Type Positive Displacement Compressors
ISO 13709, ASME B73.1, and other applicable international standards
Software & Tools:
AutoCAD / SolidWorks – Layout & detail review
MS Office, especially Excel for technical calculations
(Optional) ANSYS or FEA for casing & rotor assessment
Completion of 12 months, 30 days leave with vacation ticket and leave salary.
