🧭 Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Control Engineer to lead the implementation and management of planning, progress measurement, and reporting systems across complex projects. You will support project management in achieving timely and cost-effective delivery, ensuring deviations are promptly identified, analyzed, and addressed. This role fosters a culture of cost and schedule awareness and works in synergy with Quantity Surveyors, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
• Define and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
• Develop and manage the Project Control Plan, including scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting procedures
• Establish the Project Baseline: schedule narrative, critical path analysis, progress curves, and histograms
• Monitor and update project schedules, evaluate delays, and assess completion forecasts
• Conduct productivity and efficiency analysis in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors
• Prepare and deliver Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports
• Perform Time Impact Analysis and support change/claim processes including Extension of Time
• Oversee cost control activities, including data collection, committed analysis, accruals, and monthly production estimates
• Maintain cost-related documents: resource plans, equipment plans, and cash flow curves
• Update Project Review Reports and half-yearly budget templates
• Ensure timely input of budget and schedule changes into control systems
• Participate in change control processes and integrate approved changes into cost reports
• Provide cost trend analysis and consult on cost-related issues
• Prepare Monthly Payment Certificates, invoicing status reports, and Work-in-Progress analysis

🧠 Skills & Competencies
• Strong grasp of project planning principles: WBS, baselines, forecasts, critical path analysis
• Expertise in progress measurement across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases
• Proficient in cost control techniques and performance tracking (manhours, materials, KPIs)
• Familiarity with contract management and subcontractor cost monitoring
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify schedule/cost deviations and propose mitigation strategies
• Excellent reporting and variance analysis capabilities

🎓 Qualifications
• Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Engineering
• Certifications such as PMP? or IPMA are a plus but not required
• Professional English proficiency
• Advanced computer literacy: MS Outlook, Excel, Word
• Proficiency in planning tools: Primavera P6, MS Project
• Experience with ERP systems, Document Management Systems, and Construction Management platforms
