Purpose of the Role:
To safeguard the warehouse premises, employees, and inventory by monitoring entry/exit, enforcing security policies, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Access Control & Monitoring
Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
Verify identification, permits, and delivery documents before granting access.
Maintain a logbook of all entries and exits.
Surveillance & Patrolling
Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.
Conduct regular patrols of the warehouse premises, including storage areas, loading docks, and perimeter.
Report any unusual activities, safety hazards, or security breaches.
Safety & Security Enforcement
Ensure compliance with warehouse safety and security policies.
Prevent unauthorized access, theft, and damage to goods or property.
Assist in handling emergency situations such as fire, accidents, or intrusions.
Documentation & Reporting
Record incidents, observations, and daily activities in security reports.
Immediately notify supervisors of any suspicious activity or violations.
Support audits and investigations when required.
Support Operations
Assist in supervising loading/unloading activities for security compliance.
Guide delivery drivers and visitors to the correct warehouse areas.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth and secure operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a security guard, preferably in warehouse or logistics operations.
Basic knowledge of security equipment (CCTV, alarm systems, radios).
Good communication and observation skills.
Physically fit to perform patrol duties and respond to emergencies.
