Common STD Symptoms in Men
1. Unusual Discharge - White, yellow, or green discharge from the penis. Often linked to infections like gonorrhoea or chlamydia.
2. Painful Urination - Burning or stinging sensation when passing urine. Can indicate urethritis caused by an STD.
3. Sores, Blisters, or Warts - Painful sores or ulcers (syphilis, herpes). Small, painless bumps (genital warts caused by HPV).
4. Testicular Pain or Swelling - May occur with chlamydia or gonorrhoea infections.
5. Itching or Irritation - Around the penis, scrotum, or anus. Could be a sign of herpes, pubic lice, or fungal infection (not always an STD).
6. Flu-like Symptoms - Fever, body aches, swollen lymph nodes. Often linked with HIV or syphilis.
After unprotected sex with a new partner. If you notice any of the above symptoms. Even without symptoms—routine testing every 6–12 months is advised if you’re sexually active.
