Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate books of accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports related to construction projects. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, cost control, and project-based financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Record daily financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and client billing.
• Reconcile bank statements and project accounts.
• Monitor and control project expenses to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Support payroll processing for site and office staff.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers for cost tracking and reporting.
• Prepare VAT and other tax filings as per local regulations.
• Assist in audits and provide necessary financial documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and cost accounting.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with project-based accounting and job costing.
• Knowledge of local tax and compliance regulations.
• Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers in the construction sector.
