About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
Organize and lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees.
Maintain safety documentation, permits, and compliance records.
Liaise with management and staff to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001), and best practices.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Certification such as NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA (preferred).
