Pink eye (conjunctivitis) is highly contagious, especially viral and bacterial types. It spreads easily through direct contact with infected eye discharge, contaminated fingers, towels, makeup, or surfaces. You’re contagious from the moment symptoms appear until 24–48 hours after starting antibiotic drops (bacterial) or up to 14 days (viral, like adenovirus). Allergic pink eye is NOT contagious. Prevent spread by washing hands frequently, avoiding touching eyes, not sharing towels or pillows, and staying home from work/school until no longer contagious. Early treatment shortens contagious period and relieves red, itchy, watery eyes fast. https://purewelltips.com/
