Key Responsibilities
• Lead the full commercial function for assigned projects.
• Develop detailed pricing, rate build-ups, and cost breakdowns for tenders and variations.
• Conduct comprehensive rate analysis for materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor packages.
• Review and verify BOQs, tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage subcontractor evaluations, comparisons, and negotiation strategies.
• Prepare monthly valuations, cost forecasts, and commercial reports for management.
• Lead variation claim preparation, EOT cost justification, and contract correspondence.
• Advise project managers on commercial risks and financial strategies.
• Coordinate with procurement for vendor pricing, market benchmarking, and cost optimization.
• Mentor junior QS staff and ensure standardization across documents and formats.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years QS experience in buildings/infrastructure projects.
• Advanced knowledge of pricing, rate analysis, and tendering methodologies.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC and MoW contractual procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS estimation tools.
• Ability to lead commercial discussions with consultants and clients.
• BIM experience (Revit / Navisworks) is an added advantage for digital quantification.
