Self-leveling cement (or compound) is a polymer-modified, flowable cement mix used to create smooth, flat, and level surfaces over uneven subfloors (like concrete, tile, wood) for new flooring, offering fast setting and high strength. Mixed with water, it's poured onto the floor where it spreads and settles into an even layer, often requiring a spiked roller to release air bubbles, preparing surfaces for tiling, LVT, or other finishes
