KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ï‚· Operate boom truck and mounted crane safely and efficiently to lift, transport, load, and
unload heavy materials, equipment, and construction components in accordance with project
requirements and site plans.
ï‚· Perform pre-operation inspections of the boom truck, crane, outriggers, hydraulic systems,
wire ropes, hooks, slings, brakes, lights, and safety devices to ensure equipment is in proper
working condition before each shift.
ï‚· Set up the boom truck at job sites by properly positioning the vehicle, deploying outriggers,
leveling the crane, and confirming ground stability to ensure safe lifting operations.
ï‚· Interpret lifting plans, load charts, and manufacturer specifications to determine safe load
limits, boom angles, and lifting radii, ensuring compliance with capacity and safety
requirements.
ï‚· Coordinate closely with riggers, signalmen, supervisors, and site engineers using standard hand
signals and communication devices to execute precise and controlled lifting operations.
ï‚· Secure loads using appropriate rigging gear such as slings, shackles, hooks, and chains,
