A Roll Forming Machine Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring roll forming machines to produce metal profiles (such as shutter slats, channels, tracks, and frames) according to drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Set up roll forming machines based on job orders and technical drawings
Load steel coils and ensure correct alignment and feeding
Adjust rollers, guides, and cutting length as per the required profile
Monitor machine operation to ensure smooth running and correct dimensions
Inspect finished products for quality, straightness, and surface defects
Make minor machine adjustments to maintain tolerances
Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication
Follow safety procedures and report any machine faults or abnormalities
Skills & Requirements
Experience operating roll forming or similar metal forming machines
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of galvanized steel, thicknesses, and profiles
Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Attention to detail and quality control
