Fiber Splicer Responsibilities:
Performing fiber splicing for single-mode and multi-mode optical fibers.
Conducting OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to verify fiber quality.
Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of FTTH and backbone fiber networks.
Identifying fiber faults, damaged cables, and performing accurate fault localization.
Preparing splice closures, joint boxes, ODF, patch panels, and splitters.
Maintaining splicing tools and ensuring proper handling of fiber handling of fiber equipment.
Ensuring all work meets telecom standards, safety rules, and quality procedures.
Reporting daily progress and coordinating with the field and NOC teams.
