2. Purpose of the position
The aim is to ensure all operational activities and processing on site. In addition, the job holder does the day-to-day work and activities according to the plan.

3. Main responsibilities
The operational staff member is responsible for tank farm operation, tanker/ truck loading and unloading, filling and warehouse activities. He is performing the day to day tasks as described below:
General requirements:
 Following the work instructions and regulations
 Following the plant safety standards and PPE requirements (awareness of using PPE’s)
 Knowledge in spill containment and emergency response
 Working prudently and according to the requirements
 Flexibility, punctuality and ability to work in a team.
Plant safety / work safety / environmental protection / quality:
 Participating on trainings regularly and informing the supervisor about SHEQ relevant incidents immediately
 Knowledge in spill containment and emergency response
 Working according to the quality requirements of the SHEQ systems
 Inducing First aid activity.
Tank farm operation:
 Road Tanker/ ISO tanker loading/ Unloading in accordance with the procedures known by the job holder
 Blending of products, IBC loading/ unloading
 Drum filling/ decanting
 Crossloading
 Bulk shipment (Export/Import) handling
 Ship handling
 Shore tank cleaning, Pipeline cleaning
 Check and inspection of pipes, pipelines, valves and other technical equipment around tank farm, loading and filling areas
Truck loading/ unloading:
 Checking the trucks for cleanliness, technical condition according to transport regulation
 Check paperwork delivered by trucking company



Fork Lift Operations:
 Loading and Unloading filled & Empty Drums/IBC’s
 Check paperwork during Truck/container Loading.
 Loading and unloading of trucks by forklift incl. the loading security

Drum filling:
 Handling of filling orders, the timely execution of the filling orders in accordance with the procedures known by the job holder
 Apply labels on drums and IBC manually for dispatch
 Scan the drums for storage, transfer and dispatch
 Transport of filled drums/ and palletized drums and IBC
 Taking samples (hazardous substances)
 Monitoring the process and controlling the parameters of filling machines
 Handling of chemical liquids
 Operate semi-automatic filling lines for drums and IBC
 Doing daily checks on the machines, report potential problems to the respective person
Other activities:
 Handling of packaging material
 To assist in Loading and offloading of palletized and non-palletized chemical drums and other stuff from and of containers and trucks using forklifts.
 To perform drum off-loading from drum-filling conveyor and stacking on pallets in warehouses
 Daily checks of the forklift truck and reporting in case of damages
 Carry-out housekeeping of the machine and surrounding areas

4. Qualifications and educational requirements
 High school/ITI (NCVT)/ Diploma certificate holder/ Diploma level
 Basic Material Knowledge and Sound understanding of Heavy Equipment like Forklift
 Forklift license is a Must
 English speaking & writing
 Preference for Indian, Nepali or Sri Lankan Candidates

5. Experience
 4-6 years of experience in similar job environment e.g. chemical handling
 Sound awareness about the handling of hazardous chemicals
 Able to understand MSDS of chemicals
 Knowledge of compatibility of products/chemicals with each other
