Position Held:
Planning Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Electrical Site Engineer, Site Supervisor.
• Manage day-to-day execution of LV/MV (33kV /13.8kV / 0.4kV) electrical distribution projects, ensuring full compliance with SEC standards, safety rules and project specifications.
• Supervise installation of RMU, MV/LV switchgear, distribution transformers, unit substations, and LT panels as per approved drawings and vendor manuals.
• Supervise installation of underground and overhead networks, including LV/MV cable laying, jointing, termination and related equipment installation.
• Conduct IR, Hi-Pot, VLF and TTR testing to verify cable integrity and overall system performance.
• Review SEC work orders; perform detailed site inspections and plan manpower, materials and machinery to meet target deadlines.
• Prepare and coordinate LV/MV shutdown schedules with O&M teams, ensuring safe and smooth switching operations.
• Prepare progress reports, as-built drawings, work-order quantities, test reports, and final handover documentation..
• Design cable routes, assess site conditions and prepare accurate as-built drawings, work order quantities and technical documentation.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce operational costs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors for technical discussion & also monitoring the progress of site as per schedule.
• Participate in technical meetings with SEC, contractors and consultants to resolve site challenges and track project progress.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, promote best practices and guide technicians for accurate and efficient execution.
• Work with Manager in planning and executing assigned electrical distribution projects within deadlines and budgets
• Ensure strict compliance with Saudi HSE regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and promote safe work practices.
