Job Summary
The HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving health, safety, and environmental systems to ensure compliance with legal, company, and international standards. The role focuses on preventing accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents across project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA)
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards
Carry out routine safety inspections and audits
Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare reports and corrective actions
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
Liaise with site management, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports
Support emergency response planning and drills
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory or preferred)
2–20 years of experience in HSE roles (construction, oil & gas, marine, industrial, or manufacturing)
Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local HSE regulations
Good communication and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and on-site
