Permit Management:
Review, accept, and understand work scope, hazards, and controls on the permit.
Ensure permit is clearly visible and well-maintained at the site.
Manage permit closure, ensuring area is clean and safe before handover.
Pre-Job Safety:
Conduct detailed site inspections (gas, isolation, barricades) before work begins.
Perform Toolbox Talks (TBTs) to brief the team on hazards and safety measures.
Verify correct PPE is used by all personnel.
On-Site Supervision:
Continuously monitor work to ensure strict adherence to permit conditions.
Maintain communication with Permit Issuer, Safety Officer, and the crew.
Act as the primary point of contact for site safety.
Hazard Control & Authority:
Implement and enforce LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
Possess and exercise stop-work authority if unsafe conditions or deviations occur.
Report any incidents, near misses, or changes in work conditions immediately.
Area Restoration:
Ensure the work area is returned to a safe, clean, and operational state after work completion.
