Job Summary
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing, controlling, and reporting costs to support effective financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analysis. The role ensures accurate cost allocation, variance analysis, and supports management in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze product, project, and operational cost reports.
Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain cost accounting systems and ensure accurate cost allocation.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and standard costing processes.
Perform inventory valuation and reconciliation.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and operations teams on cost control initiatives.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing related to cost accounts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Cost Accountant
Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environment is preferred
