Professional Responsibilities:
Support the Safety Officer or HSE Manager in implementing company safety policies and procedures.
Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions, and ensure immediate corrective actions.
Monitor work activities to ensure workers follow safety rules, use PPE properly, and work safely.
Stop unsafe work when necessary and report issues to the HSE Officer.
Assist in conducting toolbox talks and safety inductions for new workers.
Explain site hazards and emergency procedures clearly to workers.
Maintain safety records including daily reports, inspection checklists, and incident logs.
Assist in accident and incident reporting, investigation of near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Support emergency response activities and drills.
Ensure first aid kits are available, complete, and properly maintained.
Check that safety signage is correctly displayed at all work areas.
Ensure good housekeeping practices at the workplace.
Ensure all employees are provided with required PPE and use it correctly, and maintain PPE issuance records.
Support proper waste segregation, disposal, and environmental protection measures.
Assist in organizing safety training sessions and awareness campaigns.
Assist in reviewing Permit to Work systems (hot work, confined space, work at height) before job commencement.
Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and workers regarding safety requirements.
Conduct inspections of vehicles and heavy equipment.
