Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to set up and calibrate CNC machines for production.
Load, secure, and remove materials; operate machines while monitoring speed, feed, and tool paths for errors.
Inspect finished products using precision tools (micrometers, calipers) to ensure conformance with design specifications.
Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, tool changes) and adhere strictly to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Record machine actions, production numbers, and maintenance activity.
Qualifications:
Understanding of CNC machinery, CAD/CAM software, and G-code/M-code.
Ability to use, maintain, and fix simple issues with tools and machinery.
Previous experience as a machinist or in a manufacturing environment is often required, though some positions offer on-the-job training.
Technical training or certification from a vocational school is highly valued.
