Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in construction industry accounting to manage end-to-end accounting operations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in VAT, Zakat, audit processes, project-wise budgeting, and financial reconciliation, with hands-on experience using Tally ERP 9 and other accounting software. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Saudi accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Saudi accounting standards.
Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Ensure timely closing of accounts and accurate reporting.
VAT, Zakat & Compliance
Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with ZATCA regulations.
Handle Zakat calculations, filings, and assessments.
Coordinate with external consultants and authorities for VAT audits and Zakat reviews.
Ensure compliance with all local tax laws and statutory requirements in KSA.
Audit & Controls
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and explanations.
Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Construction & Project Accounting
Manage project-wise accounting, budgeting, and cost breakdowns.
Monitor project costs vs budgets and highlight variances.
Handle WIP (Work in Progress), revenue recognition, and project profitability analysis.
Reconcile project accounts and ensure accurate allocation of costs.
Reconciliation & Reporting
Perform regular bank, vendor, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
Resolve discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
Prepare detailed financial and analytical reports for management.
Software & Systems
Extensive hands-on experience with Tally ERP 9.
Working knowledge of other accounting and ERP software.
Ensure accurate data entry and system-based financial controls.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices.
Excellent understanding of VAT, Zakat, and audit procedures in KSA.
Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 and other accounting software.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CMA certification (mandatory or strongly preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a construction company in KSA.
Experience dealing with project-based accounting is essential.
