The Pool Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance, treatment, and cleaning of swimming pool water, as well as monitoring and maintaining the pool’s filtration and plumbing systems to ensure safe, clean, and properly functioning operations.
Key Responsibilities
Test pool water daily for pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels
Add and adjust chemicals to keep water safe, clean, and properly balanced
Remove debris from pool using nets, skimmers, and vacuums
Brush and clean pool walls, floors, and steps as required
Check, operate, and maintain the pool filtration system daily
Inspect pumps, filters, valves, and pipes for proper function
Monitor plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, or malfunctions
Clean and backwash filters when necessary
Report any mechanical or plumbing issues to management immediately
Maintain daily logs of water tests, chemical treatments, and equipment checks
Ensure pool area remains clean, safe, and free of hazards
Follow all health and safety standards related to pool maintenance
