Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and supervise all on-site civil and structural works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Review IFC and shop drawings to confirm accuracy, constructability, and compliance with design intent and contract requirements.
Supervise major construction activities including excavation, foundations, concrete works, blockwork, finishing, and external works.
Coordinate daily site operations with subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth workflow.
Inspect formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing works to verify compliance with approved standards and testing requirements.
Ensure materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet approved specifications and applicable industry standards.
Monitor manpower productivity, equipment utilization, and construction progress against planned targets and milestones.
Liaise with consultants, project managers, and client representatives for inspections, approvals, and resolution of technical issues.
Prepare and submit daily progress reports, inspection requests (IRs), site instructions, and related documentation.
Support the preparation and review of method statements, material submittals, work permits, and technical documentation.
Identify technical challenges, site constraints, and schedule risks, proposing practical solutions to maintain progress.
Ensure full compliance with project QA/QC systems and HSE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Coordinate with planning and quantity surveying teams to track quantities, productivity, and material usage.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and material consumption for audits and project documentation.
Promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement among site staff and subcontractor teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Six (6) to ten (10) years of relevant experience supervising civil and structural works, preferably on building or infrastructure projects.
Strong technical expertise in concrete works, reinforcement detailing, formwork systems, finishing trades, and general construction practices.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office, with working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning tools.
Good understanding of international codes and standards including ACI, BS, ASTM, and related specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with proven site management capability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven approach.
Solid knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and HSE compliance requirements.
Previous GCC experience and a valid driving license will be considered an added advantage.
