Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspection and surveillance of welding activities in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and approved procedures.
Review and verify WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records (WQT/WPQ).
Ensure welding consumables, equipment, and materials comply with approved standards.
Conduct visual inspection (VT) before, during, and after welding.
Coordinate with NDT teams and review NDT reports (RT, UT, MT, PT).
Monitor pre-welding, in-process, and post-welding activities including fit-up, joint preparation, preheat, PWHT, and welding parameters.
Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
Participate in audits, toolbox talks, and quality meetings as required.
Ensure all activities comply with HSE and quality requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications:
ARAMCO Approved Welding QC Inspector (Mandatory)
CBT Passed (Mandatory)
Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical / Welding Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in oil & gas / petrochemical projects.
Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards, ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8, AWS, and API codes.
Certification such as CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI is highly preferred.
Good understanding of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW).
Familiar with piping, structural, pressure vessels, and pipeline welding.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, ISOs, and specifications.
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
