Summary of Job Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise piping fabrication, erection, installation, modification, and dismantling activities as per approved
drawings and project specifications.
Read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, spool drawings, GA drawings, and piping layouts.
Supervise pipe spool fit-up, alignment, orientation, and installation according to drawings and required
dimensions.
Ensure correct installation of pipes, elbows, tees, reducers, caps, flanges, valves, strainers, vents, drains, and
other piping components.
Check pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-equipment alignment, flange face alignment, bolt-hole orientation, and
required clearances.
Supervise installation of piping supports, guides, anchors, shoes, clamps, and spring supports according to
approved drawings.
Coordinate and monitor pipe welding, fit-up, root gap, joint preparation, and welding sequence with the
welding team.
Ensure welding is performed according to approved WPS/PQR and applicable project specifications and only
by qualified welders.
Coordinate with QC for fit-up inspection, visual inspection, NDT, PWHT, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic
testing, flushing, and reinstatement.
Prepare and monitor piping test packages, including test limits, blinds, vents, drains, pressure gauges, and
required documentation.
Supervise hydrotesting, flushing, air blowing, draining, drying, and reinstatement of piping systems.
Verify piping installation against line number, pipe size, schedule, material class, rating, flow direction, and
drawing requirements.
Ensure correct installation and identification of gaskets, bolts, nuts, spectacle blinds, blinds, valves, and
specialty piping items.
Coordinate spool erection and field joint completion, ensuring proper sequence and minimum site
modifications.
Monitor piping work progress and ensure activities are completed according to the project schedule and daily
targets.
Identify and resolve piping installation discrepancies, drawing conflicts, dimensional problems, and field
routing issues in coordination with the Piping Engineer.
Maintain records of installed piping quantities, completed joints, weld progress, inspections, testing, and
punch-list items.
Ensure completed piping is properly cleaned, protected, tagged, and prepared for commissioning and final
handover.
Coordinate with QC and commissioning teams for piping punch clearance, system completion, reinstatement,
and handover documentation.
Ensure all piping activities comply with approved method statements, project specifications, applicable
codes, and HSE requirements.
