Position Summary
The Lab Equipment Maintenance Specialist provides expert service and technical support for laboratory research equipment. This role is responsible for performing field service repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment calibrations. The specialist will also plan and conduct user maintenance and equipment operation training sessions.
The Lab Equipment Maintenance Specialist will deliver the highest level of service to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing maintenance costs. He/she will work within established guidelines and follow standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Respond quickly to maintenance and troubleshooting requests
✔ Confer with lab equipment operators, manufacturers, and local agents to diagnose problems
✔ Implement appropriate technical solutions
✔ Identify required spare parts
✔ Work with the lead to optimize maintenance activities
✔ Follow established SOPs and safety procedures
✔ Conduct training sessions for users on equipment operation and maintenance
✔ Ensure efficient and reliable operation of laboratory equipment
