MDI Inspector (Offshore)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Multi Discipline Inspector (MDI) to perform inspection, verification, and surveillance activities across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality requirements. The role supports construction and fabrication activities by ensuring quality, safety, and contractual compliance across all project phases.

Roles & Responsibilities

Carry out inspection and surveillance activities across multiple disciplines such as civil, mechanical, piping, welding, structural, electrical, and instrumentation, as applicable

Verify construction, fabrication, installation, and testing activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and project standards

Review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures

Witness inspections, tests, and commissioning activities as per project requirements

Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions

Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and client standards (ISO, ASME, AWS, API, etc.)

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve quality issues

Prepare and maintain inspection reports, daily logs, and quality documentation

Support audits, client inspections, and third-party inspections

Ensure adherence to HSE and quality requirements during site activities

Mandatory Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical or related discipline)

Minimum 10–15 years of relevant inspection experience in construction, fabrication, or industrial projects

Proven experience working as a Multi Discipline Inspector (MDI)

Sound knowledge of inspection activities across multiple engineering disciplines

Familiar with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control procedures, and international standards

Relevant inspection certifications (CSWIP, AWS, NDT Level II, etc.)

Good communication and coordination skills

Ability to work independently at site and interface with clients and contractors
