I bring 10 years of overall accounting experience, including 8 years of GCC experience in Bahrain, where I most recently served as a Chief Accountant. I concluded my employment there on 21 November 2025.
In my previous role, I was responsible for end-to-end accounting and financial management functions, including:
Daily review and reconciliation of bank transactions and operational expenses
VAT compliance, return preparation, and statutory reporting
Vendor payment processing, cheque preparation, and payables management
Credit control and monitoring of customer receivables
Preparation of monthly MIS/MOS reports for senior management
Management and coordination of banking facilities with multiple banks, including short-term and long-term loans, overdraft limits, TT, and TR facilities
Preparation of financial projections, annual budgets, and bank-specific reports for credit facilities and renewals
Preparation of financial statements and coordination for internal and external audits conducted by Ayuity Auditing Firm
A significant portion of the company’s revenue was derived from rental income, and I independently managed the accounting and reporting for approximately 18 commercial and residential buildings in Bahrain.
Additionally, I handled international procurement coordination and financial correspondence with suppliers across China, France, KSA, UAE, Thailand, and other regions.
The organization operated under a group structure with three parent companies, for which I managed:
Bank transactions and cash flow
Expense control and financial reporting
VAT compliance
Preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements
The group’s business activities included wholesale and retail trading of building materials, safety equipment, and authorized distribution of Hempel and Jotun paints.
