I am responsible for the daily operation and monitoring of the sewage treatment plant to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient performance. I handle both aerobic and anaerobic operations and ensure the process parameters are maintained as per operational requirements. I operate and monitor SCADA systems to control plant processes, identify alarms, and take corrective actions when required.
My duties include operating pumps, blowers, screw press, and other mechanical equipment, as well as monitoring aeration systems and flow conditions. I am responsible for the screening process to remove solid waste and ensure proper upstream operation. I also manage urea, DAP, and polymer dosing according to process demand to maintain biological treatment efficiency.
I operate and monitor the gas holding tank and ensure the safe burning of biogas produced during anaerobic operation, while strictly following safety procedures. I carry out basic laboratory testing such as COD, ALK, MLSS, VSS, pH, DO, and other routine tests to ensure treated water meets required standards.
I regularly record operational data in log sheets, conduct routine inspections, and perform basic maintenance and housekeeping activities to avoid equipment failure. Any abnormal conditions, alarms, or equipment malfunctions are immediately reported to the supervisor or maintenance team. I strictly follow safety rules, environmental regulations, and always use proper personal protective equipment during work.
