Cervical Cancer Vaccine In Singapore: Protect Your Health Today

The cervical cancer vaccine — more commonly called the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine — protects against HPV, a common virus that can cause cervical cancer and other cancers (e.g., vaginal, vulvar, anal) and genital warts.

There are two main vaccine options available in Singapore:
Gardasil 9 – protects against 9 HPV strains (broadest protection).
Cervarix – protects mainly against the types of HPV most likely to cause cervical cancer (HPV 16 & 18).

Who Should Get Vaccinated?
Recommended Age & Groups
Girls and boys aged 9–14: Best results, usually 2 doses.
Females and males aged 15–45: Typically 3 doses.
Older adults up to 45 can still benefit after consulting a doctor, especially if not previously vaccinated.

The vaccine is most effective if given before exposure to HPV (usually before sexual activity).

Some public polyclinics (especially for younger patients)
