The Finishing Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing all finishing works in hospital projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, project specifications, quality requirements, and timelines. The role requires strong experience in medical facility finishing and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all finishing activities including flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, painting, joinery, partitions, and specialized hospital finishes.
Ensure compliance with hospital and healthcare facility standards and regulations.
Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure proper integration of medical systems within finishing works.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to approved schedules.
Conduct inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
Manage subcontractors and site workforce.
Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control requirements specific to hospital environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in finishing works.
Proven experience in hospital or healthcare construction projects.
Strong knowledge of medical-grade finishing materials and standards.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
Experience coordinating with consultants and healthcare authorities.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
